Hi everyone.

I know it’s a day late but oh well. Here you go!

1  HILLSONG YOUNG & FREE - So this past weekend I was able to go to the Hillsong Conference (which was amazing!). And I got to see it all from the 3rd row! I never thought I’d be that close but hey, it was pretty awesome.

I don’t know if you’re familiar with Hillsong worship, but I’ve been listening to them for over a decade. There has got to be some sort of crazy anointing over this church considering the amount of pure worship that comes out of there.

Anyways, they just introduced the newest generation of Hillsong singers - Young & Free.  It’s literally the next generation of youth kids who are bursting with new song. And it’s so awesome to see what God is doing in and through them (it mirrors exactly what happened to the then-current youth group 13 years ago with Hillsong United).

2  JUDAH SMITH IS NOW ONE OF MY NEW FAVORITE SPEAKERS - Um, yeah. Judah Smith spoke at one of the sessions at the conference and it completely just blew my mind. Not only is he incredibly funny, but he totally brought a very familiar parable to life. My Moleskine is now chocked full of notes.

Other random thoughts:

• his church is in Seattle, so you should check it out if you’re there
• he is not at all what I thought he’d look like

3  AWKWARD IS BACK - You guys! Awkward is back! And I’ve already seen the mid-season premiere and it’s quite interesting.

Did y’all watch it? What do you think?

4  TRIP CANCELLATIONS - So I had these trips planned but was kind of on the fence about. It was supposed to be NorCal for the weekend and Uganda for the first two weeks in December. But they just didn’t pan out.

I’m sort of bummed but it’s OK.  I kind of feel like I have to stay put for a little and rest/work. I feel like I’ve been nonworking for awhile and I need to get back into the swing of things. 

I just realized that the photo I chose for this is a bad representation of how I actually feel. But I’m too lazy to find a different photo.  But believe me, I’m not depressed! And love is not cancelled. I’m just in a selah moment.

5  IT’S FINALLY COOLING OFF HERE IN SOCAL - Granted it’s not super sweater weather yet … but I am wearing my Ugg boots. Then again it’s with shorts. Baby steps here.

I love cooler weather. 

Hi. I can’t believe it took me til Friday to sit down and write this post. 

But what better way to start the weekend?  Here goes it - 5 things going on right now:

1  BANKSY - Ok if you haven’t heard yet that Banksy set up shop in Manhattan and sold his canvases for $60 a pop … I don’t know where you’ve been. It’s craziness. I can’t imagine how many people are kicking themselves in the pants for not stopping by and buying a piece. They’ve got to be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. 

Anyways. I love how there’s just random stencil graffiti art all throughout the city. I love The Musical series and this particular artwork of the Twin Towers. Just something beautiful about it at the same time. What do you think?

2  THE GUYS OF PRETTY LITTLE LIARS - We’re still watching Pretty Little Liars here in the Tres Dudes household. In a lot of ways, it’s addicting because you want to know the details behind every mystery. But we also unveiled the other obvious reason why we love this show - THE GUYS.

All the guys in this show are hot. The photo below is dedicated to my roommate, Andi Collins, because she loves these two. But if I had my own hot PLL guy board it would have Ezra and Wren. Seriously.

3  BOMB BREAKFAST CATERING - This morning I was about 30 minutes late for Creative Mornings (I had a really hard time finding a parking spot … it was frustrating). But after some coaxing, I decided to keep looking and still make it to the lecture.

Which I’m super thankful for. It was a talk by YACHT (awesome btw) and also catered by Free Range. OMG people. This food was pretty frickin awesome.

And apparently they only serve on Sundays at brunch. So yeah. We’ll have to plan this out … who wants to go with me?  Maybe sometime before the noon service at Reality LA?  Please and thank you. 

(or delivery/pickup throughout the week - that’s an option too)

4  NEW DIRECTION IN MY WORK - So I’ve been talking to a photography agency lately and they’ve been pointing me in the right direction of lifestyle, editorial, and fashion. Which happens to be the exact place that I want to be in.

The thing is, up until this point I’ve been super all over the place. And so now I’m narrowing down that focus and closing up the personal portraits section of my business. Strictly commercial photography!

So now I have to get mood boards set up, looks and locations nailed down, and the right people involved. Here’s goes nothing! 

5  HILLSONG TONIGHT - So guess what I’ll be doing this weekend?  I’ll be at the Hillsong Conference … front and center. Seriously, the tickets were for the third row. It’s kind of outta control. 

It kind of feels like Adult ATF in a way (kind of like how the Awakening Conference was like) but I’m happy to go. It’ll be awesome.

Can’t wait for their show soon!  Ivan & Alyosha will be opening up for them!  Woot!

Hello friends. Happy Wednesday.  

This should have gotten out yesterday but I kept getting side tracked. My roommates and I are watching Pretty Little Liars straight through from the beginning. And it’s been really interesting watching it when you know who A is.  

Anyways. Sorry for the delay. Here are 5 things going on with me:

1  I LOVE IT WHEN FAMILY COME TO VISIT - Which hasn’t actually happened much before beyond my sister visiting, but the month of October is getting a little crazy with my aunts coming to visit.

This last weekend is Aunt Mindy and my Great Aunt Goo (all the way from Taiwan).

This upcoming weekend will be the Lee’s - two sets of aunts & uncles. I’m really excited to see them, celebrate Uncle Trent’s birthday, and eat some Korean BBQ! 

2  BABY EDEN IS HERE - As a photographer, I have a few proud moments. Visiting friend’s houses and seeing wedding photos I shot up in their home is a big thing for me. Also, being able to still be in contact with friends and clients when they go through other big milestones.  

Marriage is a big milestone in itself, but the next big one came for two of my friends.  This week they welcomed Baby Eden Grace to the world! How exciting!

3  RTV IS MAKING A COMEBACK … SOON - I’ve mentioned before that I worked for a magazine a few years back.  Well, something you may not know is that they utilized an array of media channels over time: Relevant TV, Relevant FM, the Drop, the Podcast, etc.

Well, for you hardcore RELE-fans, you may remember R.TV. It was one of my lifelines during college. Not only did it stream awesome music videos all day, but it also sprinkled Relevant commercials all throughout (like this gem).

Well, it left for awhile but it’s coming back soon! And they’re adding all sorts of new things into the mix - including live performances, documentaries, speakers, and short videos.

Check it.

4  FAREWELL TO FINN EPISODE AIRS THIS WEEK - In a way, I have no idea why I’m still watching the show “Glee.” Must be those catchy tunes and the fact that I feel connected to the show whenever I see those concrete stair steps (they film those scenes at the school my church meets at).

Well this week they air the tribute episode to Cory Monteith. It was a shock when he was pronounced dead last summer  We’ll see what they’ll make of it. Looks like audiences will be saying goodbye to Finn just as much as we said goodbye to Cory.

I’m not going to lie. I’m probably going to cry like a frickin baby.

Check out the new Swtichfoot single. There’s bits and pieces of their new documentary, Fading West, canvassing the band’s life on the road over the past year as they tour, travel, and surf. 

It’s kind of catchy in its own upbeat kind of way. I think it’s growing on me.
